Executive Producer
Jerome K. Mitchell
Jerome K. Mitchell is an executive producer at Free3 Media, and an attorney and entrepreneur whose career spans television, film, intellectual property, business development, and international transactions.
As an owner and principal of a production company behind episodes of A&E's Emmy-nominated series Hoarders and Magnolia Network and Discovery+'s In With the Old, Mitchell worked at the ownership and executive levels of unscripted television production. His credits include serving as an executive producer on multiple episodes of Hoarders and In With the Old, together with production work connected to the feature film Artik and the Stephen King adaptation In the Deathroom.
Mitchell's contributions to entertainment extend well beyond his individual production credits. Working principally behind the scenes, he has helped build production businesses, develop film and television projects, structure commercial relationships, and negotiate agreements involving major television networks and film studios. His experience encompasses unscripted television, scripted programming, independent features, branded content, production agreements, financing, licensing, distribution, intellectual property, and interactive entertainment.
Mitchell is also a member of the Television Academy's Executive Peer Group, a professional community comprising senior executives and industry leaders involved in the development, production, financing, distribution, and management of television content.
In addition to his work in entertainment, Mitchell is licensed to practice law in the State of New York. His legal practice spans entertainment law, corporate law, intellectual property, employment law, and civil litigation. He has represented artists, producers, developers, publishers, production companies, and other creative professionals in matters involving content development, licensing, distribution, production transactions, intellectual property protection, and commercial disputes.
Through Free3 Media, Mitchell brings together his experience as a producer, company owner, attorney, and entrepreneur. He helps guide projects from their earliest creative conception through development, financing, production, distribution, and commercial exploitation, with a particular focus on building compelling content and sustainable creative enterprises for domestic and international audiences.
